The teacher said, ”Let’s begin by reviewing some American history.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Who said ’Give me Liberty , or give me Death’?”<\/p>\n

She saw a sea of blank faces, except for Little Hodaiki a bright
\nforeign exchange student
\nfrom Japan , who had his hand up: ’Patrick Henry, 1775’, he said.<\/p>\n

’Very good!’<\/p>\n

Who said, ’Government of the People, by the People, for the People,
\nshall not perish from the Earth?’<\/p>\n

Again, no response except from Little Hodaiki: ’Abraham Lincoln, 1863’.<\/p>\n

’Excellent!’ said the teacher continuing, ’let’s try one a bit more
\ndifficult…’<\/p>\n

Who said, ’Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can
\ndo for your country?’<\/p>\n

Once again, Hodaiki’s was the only hand in the air and he said: ’John
\nF. Kennedy, 1961’.<\/p>\n

The teacher snapped at the class, ’Class, you should be ashamed of yourselves,
\nLittle Hodaiki isn’t from this country and he knows more about our
\nhistory than you do.’<\/p>\n

She heard a loud whisper: \u2018F . . . k the Japs,’<\/p>\n

’Who said that? I want to know right now!’ she angrily demanded.<\/p>\n

Little Hodaiki put his hand up, ’General MacArthur, 1945.’<\/p>\n

At that point, a student in the back said, ’I’m gonna puke.’<\/p>\n

The teacher glared around and asks, ’All right! Now who said that!?’<\/p>\n

Again, Little Hodaiki said, ’George Bush to the Japanese Prime Minister, 1991.’<\/p>\n

Now furious, another student yelled, ’Oh yeah? Suck this!’<\/p>\n

Little Hodaiki jumped out of his chair waving his hand and shouted to the teacher,
\n’Bill Clinton to Monica Lewinsky 1997!’<\/p>\n

Now with almost mob hysteria someone said, ’You little shit.
\nIf you say anything else, I’ll kill you.’<\/p>\n

Little Hodaiki frantically yelled at the top of his voice,
\n”Michael Jackson to the child witness testifying against him, 2004.’<\/p>\n

The teacher fainted.<\/p>\n

As the class gathered around the teacher on the floor, someone said,
\n\u201cOh shit, we’re fucked!\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Little Hodaiki said quietly, \u201cBob Diamond, Barclays Bank, 2012.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
