He is assigned to helping the other monks in copying the old canons
\nand laws of the church by hand.<\/i><\/b><\/div>\n

He notices, however, that all of the monks are copying from copies,
\nnot from the original manuscript.
\nSo, the new monk goes to the head abbot to question this,
\npointing out that if someone made even a small error in the first copy,
\nit would never be picked up!
\nIn fact, that error would be continued in all of the subsequent copies<\/i><\/b> <\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

The head monk, says,
\n’We have been copying from the copies for centuries,
\nbut you make a good point, my son.’

\n<\/b>He goes down into the dark caves underneath the monastery
\nwhere the original manuscripts are held as archives in a locked vault
\nthat hasn’t been opened for hundreds of years.
\nHours go by and nobody sees the old abbot.<\/i><\/b>
\n<\/i><\/b>\"\"
\n<\/b>So, the young monk gets worried and goes down to look for him.
\nHe sees him banging his head against the wall and wailing.
\n<\/i><\/b>We missed the\u00a0<\/i>R<\/i>\u00a0<\/i>!
\nWe missed the\u00a0<\/i>R<\/i>\u00a0!
\n<\/i>We missed the\u00a0<\/i>R<\/i>\u00a0!<\/i>’

\nHis forehead is all bloody and bruised and he is crying uncontrollably.
\nThe young monk asks the old abbot, ’What’s wrong, father?’
\nWith a choking voice, the old abbot replies,
