Iceland 2010 ”First cash then ash…”
pic from SMHI
Europe april 17 2010-Within red area no aircrafts between 18000 and 33000 feet ( 6000-11000 meters). Travelling is now rapidly organized by coaches instead for returning charter tourists from other parts of the world where aircrafts still can land in southern Europe . Also others that got stuck here and there i Europe have to find other travel solutions as the forecasts for flying the coming days are bad. Coaches not by horses as more horsepowers available today in buses but traveltime now is counted in days instead of hours if you can get a coach to get back to middle and northern Europe.. If you try to fly an aircraft –engines will be shut down by dust one by one or in a short time or all engines are worn out rapidly by the dust due to a sandblasting effect.
A new expressions ceated ”Iceland First cash then ash ” or ”ashed in” menaing you have get stuck somewhere and cannot fly back home due to the ash in the air preventing air traffic.- a friend of mine mailed me today and said he was ”ashed in” in Turkey… Today it is sunny in southern Sweden as its not possible to see small quantities of ash in the air it is said to reflect the sun radiation some- but will not effect the climate as teh dust below 30000 feet and will go down with the rain .
Hotels in the major cities of Europe are taking the advantage by raising the prices – support?? No -The bad side of the market economy in the information society we today live in!- Isnt it a crazy world ??
