Best Poem

This was nominated by the United Nations as the best poem written by an African child:

When I born, I black
When I grow up, I black
When I go in sun, I black
When I scared, I black
When I sick, I black
And when I die, I black.
And you, white fellow,
When you born, you pink,
When you grow up, you white,
When you go in sun, you red,
When you cold, you blue,
When you scared, you yellow,
When you sick, you green,
And when you die, you grey.
And you calling me colored!?

Grandpa

An 80-year-old rancher from Wyoming, goes to the Mayo clinic in
Rochester for a check-up.

The doctor is amazed at what good shape the guy is in and asks, ’Howdo you stay in such great physical condition?’

’I’m from Wyoming and in my spare time I like to hunt and fish’ says
the old guy, ’and that’s why I’m in such good shape.
I’m up well before daylight riding herd and mending fences and whenI’m not doing that, I’m out hunting or fishing.
In the evening, I have a beer, a shot of whiskey and all is well.’

’Well’ says the doctor, ’I’m sure that helps, but there’s got to be
more to it. How old was your father when he died?’

’Who said my Father’s dead?’

The doctor is amazed. ’You mean you’re 80 years old and your
father’s still alive? How old is he?’

’He’s 100 years old,’ says the old cowboy. ’In fact he worked and
hunted with me this morning, and then we went to a bar for a while and had a little beer and that’s why he’s stillalive. He’s a Wyoming rancher and he hunts and fishes too!’

’Well,’ the doctor says, ’that’s great, but I’m sure there’s more to
it than that. How about your father’s father?
How old was he when he died?’

’Who said my Grandpa’s dead?’

Stunned, the doctor asks, ’you mean you’re 80 years old and your
grandfather’s still alive?’

’He’s 118 years old,’ says the man.

The doctor is getting frustrated at this point, ’So, I guess he went
hunting with you this morning too?’

’No, Grandpa couldn’t go this morning because he’s getting married
today.’

At this point the doctor is close to losing it. ’Getting Married???
Why would a 118 year-old guy want to get married?’

’Who said he wanted to?’

SLIGHT FLIGHT PROBLEM

THERE I WAS, JUST FLYING ALONG MINDING MY OWN BUSINESS (at 20,000 feet) . . . and

And what’s so cool is they actually pay me to do this!

Hey, why am I looking up?

flyg4

Whoa there. What the hell?? Controls aren’t working.

Time for a mirror check… Hey, where’s the rest of my F-15?

flyg 5

Uh oh, it’s over there… I think I’ve got a definite…………………

Aw, sh*t’ What the hell is going on here.

flyg6

gotta wonder, am I the first guy to ever experience a ’cockpit-airframe separation anxiety attack’??

flyg7

OK, enough is enough!… I’m outta’ here! But first, the canopy has to go.

flyg8

Phew………………….At least that’s now out of the way.

flyg9

OK, now it’s my turn. I’m gonna be gone as soon as I find that frickin’ lower handle.

flyg10

Got it, Im gone !!!!!!

This ’incident’ caused the USAF to ground its fleet of F-15’s.

How about the guy who took these pictures?
Just when it looks like it’s going to be just another ’average day at the office’..!

What caused the mid-air break up?

The main ”longeron” (stringer) behind the cockpit failed due to corrosion.

Talk about being in the right place at the right time (the photographer)…or the wrong place at the wrong time (the pilot)…..
